See How the 2021 Acura TLX Stacks Up against the 2021 BMW 330i

When you are on the hunt for a great sports sedan, it can be tough to narrow down the options to your ideal fit. While you might be drawn to the BMW lineup, specifically the responsive and seamless 2021 BMW 330i, we want to let you know about another model that received numerous updates to the most recent model - the 2021 Acura TLX. With jaw-dropping style, power, technology, and grace, the Acura TLX puts other models to shame with ease. Stop by Acura of Thousand Oaks today to learn more about the 2021 Acura TLX and see why we can't wait to put you in the driver's seat today!

Both models are designed to catch the attention of your friends and family while showcasing seamless integration of standard and available features to make your life easier. However, the BMW sedan is more interested in offering what you got with the previous year's model. The design and iconic kidney-style grille look great, but they didn't change much between last year and this when it comes to design cues. Inside, you will find plenty of comfort and convenience, including 14-way power-adjustable seats and austere style that makes you happy to climb behind the wheel. However, it feels like more of the same, similar to the exterior style.

The Acura TLX is what a new model year and redesign should be. Re-imagined from the ground up, the new Acura is lower and wider, providing a more aggressive look and feel that speaks volumes about what a sports car should look like. It now comes with larger 19-inch wheels, and the new TLX enjoys enhancements like the Diamond Pentagon grille and 4-lamp Jewel Eye® LED headlights. The sporty interior is decked out with premium genuine metal finishes and available wood trim options, providing a look and feel that beats out competition like the BMW 330i. The car is now wider, which provides more hip and shoulder room for you and your passengers, while heated and 16-way power-adjustable seats are more readily available than what the BMW can offer.

The 2021 Acura TLX vs the Competition

The new TLX comes with a variety of standard and available features that the BWM either lacks or fails to match up to. Starting with the infotainment system, the TLX comes equipped with a 10.2-inch touchscreen and standard Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ smartphone integration. The BMW 330i is only standard with an 8.8-inch touchscreen, and the lineup offers smartphone compatibility, but it is not as seamless as what you will find in the TLX. The brilliant True Touchpad Interface™, standard to the new Acura TLX, allows you to control your touchscreen by imitating your touch on the main interface. The new BMW 330i doesn't allow you the same convenient access, making it harder to control the screen with the iDrive touchpad Controller. The Acura TLX also has access to an available ELS STUDIO 3D® premium audio system with 17 speakers - BMW doesn't offer the same for its 330i sedan.

While both models offer excellent safety options, the BMW seems to lack the same amount of standard features the Acura TLX comes equipped with. The BMW only offers Collision Mitigation and Braking with Frontal Collision Warning, while the Acura TLX comes standard with AcuraWatch™ - along with Collision Mitigation Braking System™, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist System, and Road Departure Mitigation. It also offers a Surround-view Camera System, a feature that is noticeably missing from the BMW 330i safety package.

The Acura TLX has revamped under its hood for the 2021 model lineup, coming standard with a 2.0-liter VTEC® turbocharged engine that delivers 272 horsepower that seamlessly pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The new suspension and framework allow you to effortlessly cruise the roads of California and control what your commute looks like. The TLX also offers the ultimate control system in the form of the Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™, allowing you to handle the road with industry-leading torque and feel. The TLX comes with three different drive modes regardless of your drivetrain, letting you customize the experience to meet your specific needs. The BMW is fun to drive, as is expected, but it fails to match up to the horsepower output from the TLX, and it only comes standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
